Garth may have already mentioned it, but the July 1st celebrations here
in Edmonton were marred by a drunken crowd of idiots... nay, IDIOTS!
They went on a rampage and tore-up a good-sized chunk of Whyte
Avenue, an area full of boutiqes, restuarants, bars, etc. The riot went on
for 2 hours, and caused numerous injuries and arrests.
Hope the same doesn't happen anywhere tonight in the States!

P.S. I was out-of-town, camping at the base of the Rocky Mountains.
Missed the riot (thankfully!), had a wonderful time, and shot numerous
rolls of film with the OM equipment.
