Can't hurt Tom - I found and used them when I sold a couple of lenses on
ebay to Canadians. Seemed to ease things. Also saved them some money - I
don't know how (It's far too complex for this bear of little brain, what
with GST, import duties and even interstate duties, I believe). There's no
space on the little green form so I put it on the parcel in big black
letters. If I send an insured item from here, there is space on the larger,
multisheet form. On a TNT tracked parcel or similar, there is a separate
customs declaration with LOTS of space. This from Aus. - perhaps NAFTA
chums have different rules.
Apparently, some items don't attract some taxes. Perhaps a Canadian list
member can collect all the relevant codes (there's even one for parts, I
saw) and advise us on the best course. After all, it's in their interests
and we only deal with a very few classifications!
In the meantime, I'll code.
