The comment about 'rabbits are people too' sounds like a lift from a US TV
sitcom called MASH. The Army doctors wanted to use Radar O'Reilly's rabbit
Fluffy for a pregnancy test. He insisted that the doctors surgically remove
the rabbit's ovaries rather than the traditional slaughter. His
justification had something to do with rabbits being people too, as I
recall.
