No hehehe you are right :) Nor the 35 /2. But I think I have the good stuff.

I probably will never get the 85/2, 50/2 nor the 20/2, or 35/2.

The 85/2 and 35/2 are unsung heroes of the Zuikos. I don't see myself needing the 90/2 Macro with the 85/2 and auto tubes. Aside from macros the 85/2 is an interesting length for tight portraiture; almost exactly twice that of the 35mm format diagonal. The perspective

I'm sure the 35 and 85 f2's are great lenses but my statement wasn't to cast any sort of opinion on their merits but to just say that I don't think they will have a place in my kit. I'm of the doubling school and my ideal set is the:

24 --- 50 --- 100 --- 200

I've got the 24 f2, 50 f1.2, 100 f2 (just today! had a 2.8) and the 180 2.8 (will be replaced by f2 version soon enough). I have other lenses but I'd say the most important other lenses are now the 21 f2 which is just within my abilities to use (I think the 18mm which I could have got is too specialised and certainly outside my photographic eyes' ability) but nice to have for those very wide shots and the 90mm f2 which I absolutely love.

It so happens that these lenses I've mentioned (except the 180 f2.8 which like I mentioned will be replaced by the f2) are the only lenses I have ever bought new. Everything else I have I have bought second hand and in some ways guided me to the 'permanent' set I have developed only in the last 3 months.

Now on to making photos... (by the way John your Tulip TOPE entry was one of my favorites and I was surprised by the equipment you used to realise the shot!).

Oben
