I've never worked with the microprism/split-image combination, but with that brighter screen of the 2-13 I'm confident you'll love those compositional lines John renders--very discreetly etched.

But why not just break down and buy an 82402 or 82404 (assuming you wish to stick with the split image format--I prefer a plain circle) and get a brighter view while you're at it? It is impossible to have a too visible
view. <g>
