Don't buy new, it isn't worth it. Most 16/3.5's that come up for sale are in superb condition, as they don't get much use. (The recent one with the broken off aperture coupling lever is an anomoly, IMO.)

Most people buy a fisheye and use it a few times, tire of the effect, then put it away until they need cash.

Personally, it's my favorite lens for panoramic photography, as the distortion is mathamatically very predictable and can be "unwrapped" by some tools (like Panorama Tools). You also need less images for a full pano than other rectilinear lenses. You could also use the 8/2.8, but it's a bit of a beast, and very expensive.

Look on Ebay, they're not uncommon. Or use my OM-gear-for-sale page and hunt through the used sites.

Dea list,

I am thinking of doing a Telethon to raise money for a new
Zuiko 16mm f/3.5 fisheye lens, but I think there may be more
deserving causes really. :-)

Tha alternative is to buy a second-=hand one.

If anybody knows of one for sale, anytime, anyplace, etc., please let
me know on dbellamy2k@xxxxxxx

Thank you.

Best regards,

Dave Bellamy.
