Actually this method is still (erroneously) recommended by some. another
'popular' method is to make a small incision at the snakebite and draw blood
out by vacuum of sucking, again erroneous. A ER doctor I know states he has
seen WAY more serious injuries caused by supposed snakebite treatments, than by
the bites themselves!
