Go to Yahoo's site. They, for one, have a people finder. You can type in
any amount of information you have available (some of the blocks are
required), and it will find all the matches for you. It's worth a try.
Don't think the service is set up in Canada yet, though. Wasn't this person
in Edmonton?

Hi Folks,
I think I know how this fraud works now, first of all
register on Eb*y with a false name and phone number
and place (not your own). Find a deserted building and
make a note of the address, using your real name (so
you can cash money orders at the bank) ask who-ever
wins your bid to send a money order to that address.
When the money order arrives go and pick it up and
cash it. If the person tries to trace you, they only
have your name, everything else is (it would seem)
unrelated to you.
Presumably the person lives nearby the abandoned
building, so its convenient to go and pick up mail, so
that narrows down the area they could be living in (it
could be a kid on a bicycle for all I know). Also
knowing the persons name helps a lot.
Does anyone know a way of getting someones phone
number if you know their name and the town (and zip)
they live in? I don't know because although I'm living
in California, I'm from England, so I don't know how
things work here.
