I am very familiar with the camera store in question. I almost had 3 of
their NOS
4T's for $450 each. They are under new ownership and the new owner wants
to sell the old stock. The store manager contacted me the day I was
leaving to go on a 10 day trip up the Tennessee River. He offered them
to me for $450 each because I had tried to buy them from the old owner
and he wouldn't get right on the price.I had to buy all three or
nothing. Upon returning from my trip I noticed one on *bay and called
him up. Was told the owner decided to put one on *bay but I could have
the other 2 at $450 each, but after further consultation with the owner
the price went to $550 each. Ok,no problem. Went in the next day with
the cash and now the manager says that Adorama had called and offered to
buy the remaining stock, but the deal hinged around the two remaining 4T
bodies,so he couldn't sell them to me. I bought 2 new 55mm Oly lens caps
for a list member and left in a highly agitated
state. They reneged on their deal with me twice and it just didn't sit
to well with me. So Michael, I have seen your camera, and probably held
it in my hands, it's nice.
