As far as I recall, Tamron lenses normally have an 'AE' setting after f22, which
is in fact f32. If you put a 2X converter on, you get f64.....

:There is already a Sigma 28mm f/2.8 (if I recall righ) which stops down
:to f/64.  Don't go there!  The loss of resolution AND contrast due to
:diffraction effects will kill your pictures. Diffraction effects show up
:even at f/16 and f/22.  There is good reason that manufacturer's lens
:stop at reasonably small apertures.
