John-
I have a friendly and open relationship with the manager of the processing
department and speak of the technical aspects often. He indicated that the
machine has profiles for individual film types based on the barcode and
color dots on the film edge. He couldn't access a specific list, so I can't
say if either was missing a profile. I didn' think to ask what happens when
an unknow film is introduced. As a one-hour shop, I think it's fair to
assume it doesn't see much of either of these film types. We mutually
assumed that since it is a Fuji machine, it would have more complete data
for the Fuji emulsions.

The ambient light for both images was incandescent, but the flash was
certainly dominant. Also, the balance was continuous through the rolls, so I
don't believe it was overly influenced by the environment of the comparable
shots.

I will ask him more about it. I thought my prior rolls of the Supra had been
less warm.. I'll also look back on some earlier jobs.

Thanks for the suggestions.
-Mickey
