I've placed my final order prior to leaving next week. Picked up another motor drive off KEH. I've been eyeing that for some time and figured why not--give one of my Winder 2's a rest. I almost bought that "bargain" black 4T they have listed, then decided not to. As it is I'll likely take just one body over to Spain with me, plus the M-1n and a lens or two for my daughter. With a tripod and my lenses and filters that becomes a bit much to lug around. I've also had an eye on one of the 3Ti's B&H has in. I'd like to work with one just to see if its action is as smooth as I've heard, but I've never been able to rationalize its higher cost and limited capabilities compared to the 4T's. I keep trying to convince myself I could make it my "mounted" body.

Sure. <g> (Oh well, call it an idle dream.)

Like I said, your best bet for dickering (with anyone) is to walk up with cash in hand and a serious glint in your eye. You have to remember it costs these shops to transact cc orders. Cash whispers persuasively in their ears, especially when they can smell it, too.

Honestly, I didn't give him an offer, just asked if he'd consider one.

He wouldn't.
