My "new" OM-2n arrived yesterday from KEH. It also has the "MD" label,
which I thought was a little strange (chrome-body).
BTW, the OM-2 manual that I downloaded indicated that
"if you release the shutter with the selector level at OFF in normal
lighting condition, the built in automatic exposure control is activated
to take a properly-exposed picture, so as not to miss optimum exposure
opportunity, at any moment. The difference between the automatic
exposure in the OFF position and the AUTO position, however, is that the
OFF mode exposure stops in 1/30 maximum to save battery exhaustion, and
the AUTO viewfinder scale does not appear."
My OM-2n appears to always have the same shutter speed in the OFF
position (1/30? 1/60?). Was this a design change, or is there a problem
with this body?
