Digital camera has to scan/read the CCD and process/write it to memory. Lots
of pixels to process for 3 or 4 color channels (some digital cameras do a
Red/Green/Blue/Green process) and limited processor horsepower, as well as
data path width (32 bit or 64 bit, or maybe its only 16 bit...) means there
is a limit to the processing time. I think you have to scan the CCD while
the pixel is illuminated, so there is a lot going on in that 1/650th second.
