Wayne,

I put together the T32 this morning. I'll not open up another of
those babies, except if my life is at stake!

Unfortunately, the thing still doesn't show viewfinder info
but the camera does now control the flash light output
(no idea yet if its accurate though.)

It was a good learning experience. I negotiated with the vendor,
and he will refund me all but $20, allowing me to keep the unit for
parts. Attempting the repair was gamble, and I knew it. At least
the unit now is more than a box of parts, in fact it may even
be usable though not fully functional.

The list members have been very kind helping me with this one,
and the Ebay vendor "rolexlarry" did the right thing too. Thanks to
you all.

I guess I'm in the market again for a flash. Don't know after what I've
seen in the T32 whether I want one, it seems to have a number of
weak points (non-sealed battery compartment, tiny leetle screw
babies holding the foot on by the skins of their little threads, totally
jampacked insides, prone to short circuits.

Judging by the number of people who responded, and had (multiple)
non-working units, others are not too reliable either. There was
one on Ebay just yeterday that I asked the vendor about whether
or not it worked on camera and he responded, "Sorry, I was checking
it out for you and it shorted and fried itself." Had to withdraw his auction.

But what alternatives are there? I want a flash that has a bounce
head, is reasonably powerful, and does the whole dance with the
OM2n/4/4T. Also I am now the proud owner of the most expensive
wires in the world, a TTL 0.6m, TTL2m, TTL auto-connector ($90 or so).
