First, I want to apologize to the list members that have inquired about
buying some of the new stuff I got in. It has taken me way to long to
catalogue and inventory everything. Very time-consuming. I'm also
time-contrained by Debbie's health as she is back in the hospital and I'm
spending most of my time there. She is improving, though.

Rest assured that all the requests have been carefully kept, in order of
receipt, and my plan is to start replying to you with the pricing and
availability tonight.

One of my 'challenges' has been managing two sets of prices -- a 'general
public' set that is published on the website and a 'list member and regular
customer' set that I managed manually. So, combining my two hobbies of
photography and programming, I updated my database to include a separate
'member price'. Then I updated my 'site build' program to build both a
public version and a 'members' version (for those that don't know, all the
inventory indices and each item page is built programmatically from my
inventory database. When I change the database, the program rebuilds the
site).

What all this means is that now there is a separate inventory site that
shows the list member prices. That way if you're interested in anything, you
can just go directly to the site and see if you're interested at the lower
price. If not, that's cool. If so, great! I've got a few features to add,
but the 'beta' version of the site is up. It still includes all the things
that people have already requested (I'll fixed that over the next few days),
so you may find something that isn't still available, but hopefully note
many. I'll keep new requests in order too. Keep checking back if you like
it, as I have a bunch of new ideas that will get added over the next week or
so.

So, check it out at:

http://www.zuikoholic.com/members

It will prompt for a userid (zuiko) and a password (olympus).

Let me know what you think. Any suggestions and ideas are welcome
(privately at tscales@xxxxxxxxxxxxx). Suggestions about the site are
welcome as are pricing suggestions. I think they're very fair, though, for
the condition.

Everything comes with a no-questions-asked return policy, of course.

I apologize if this is 'too commercial'. I've been fortunate to make some
recent large purchases and hope that this will help keep some nice equipment
in the 'family' at what I think are favorable prices. I compared my prices
to B&H, Adorama and KEH. My 'general public' pricing is lower, and my
member pricing is significantly lower. This is, of course, in keeping with
this being a hobby.

This new system should also let me keep most of this kind of stuff off the
list, as once you know the userid/password, you can just keep checking with
it.

Have fun and find some new toys. OK, I'm the worst enabler around, but,
hey, it's my purpose in life.

Tom
