hmmmmm... I'll ask the wife when I get home tonight what Diaphragm means to
her, but she's a scientist so not really sure it's a fair test. Can't speak
for other English speakers but I'd say that Yes people probably think of
"contraceptive" first, and "aperture" second, but it's not an innately funny
word so I think you're probably safe using it to those sad non-Photographer
types.

I'm British English, and I've never heard of "Musculoskeletal Disorder",
although that could be my sheltered upbringing,  but I do know and use (and
probably have) RSI.
