Assuming this lens was shipped from the USA:
1. The Custom's form number is trackable. An official Inquiry or even a
Insurance Claim initiated in the USA will tell whether this was turned
over to the Aussies.
2. Watch the short time frame for your Lloyd's claim through eBay and,
while timing it for the end of the period, don't miss it.
Don't assume it wasn't shipped. Mailing to Oz (and the UK and Taiwan)
can be a crap shoot with 4 week delays not uncommon. I've been amazed
at how quickly after a postal inquiry a long delayed package arrives.
But the inquiry itself can take a month. It is as if the system shakes
it loose from somewhere.
Sellers who do "shipping at cost" will always ship based on your
wishes. :-)
Never be in a rush for an international shipment. It'll drive you
crazy.
