I noticed that my OM-4Ti, when taking some photos of a computer monitor
picture, exhibits a variation of more than 2 stops, which seems to cycle
about twice a second, and it maxes out at different points too, even on a
stationary picture! This is true for the computer monitor or our usual
television screen (we are 50 Hz mains here by the way in the UK, 25 fps on
the TV and maybe more on the computer monitor).

Maybe the meter response is very fast, but the LCD response is a bit slower.
I wonder how often the meter reading is "sampled" to send to the display, or
if it is just sent to the display direct. Maybe some of these samples are
from the screen when it is "empty", giving a large variation. On my C*non A-1
the digital LED display changes only about every 1/2 to 1 second under
quickly changing light levels.

I just took an average and used 1/15 second on manual to photograph the
screen.
