Dear Konrad,

You seem overwhelmed with a confusing array of OM broshures there. I think
you need to send them all to me just to check your proof-reading! ;O)

<< "OM-4Ti: The Measure of Perfection" (C450E-0886D, i.e., Aug. 1986)
includes in the lens table (p. 18) both the 180/2 and 180/2.8 lenses,
but for the 1.4x-A only the 180/2 is recommended. >>

Olympus OM-4Ti Black "The OM Legacy: a standard of excellence preserved"
(C651E-1290D, December 1990) has the teleconverters mentioned separately in
yhe lens table on page 18. The recommended lenses are given as:

2X-A:
Applicable lenses: 100/2, 200/4, 50-250/5, construction 6E-6G, 215g, 48mm long

1.4X-A: Applicable lenses: 180/2, 180/2.8, 250/2, 300/4.5, 350/2, 400/6.3,
construction 5E-4G, 180 grams, length 23mm

The same in the April 1989 "OLYMPUS A Continuing tradition of Photographic
Excellence" (C21E-R1-0489D).

My earlier brochures OM-2SP (1984), OM-4 (1984) and "New OM Generation", are
inconsistent. Compare these with the above:

----
OM-2SP (August 1984): "The OLYMPUS Program Camera that's Designed for
Unlimited Growth." C211E-0884D

2X-A: Applicable lenses: 100/2.8, 135/2.8, 135/3.5, 200/4, 100-200/5
construction 6E-6G, 215g, 48mm long

1.4X-A: Applicable lenses: 180/2.8, 250/2, 300/4.5, 350/2.8, 400/6.3
construction 5E-4G, 180 grams, length 23mm
+ under the table: "Specifications subect to change without notice." HA!
----

OM-4 (December 1984): "The Measure of the Professional" C04E-1284D

2X-A: Applicable lenses: 100/2.8, 135/2.8, 135/3.5, 200/4, 100-200/5
construction 6E-6G, 215g, 48mm long

1.4X-A: Applicable lenses: 250/2, 300/4.5, 350/2.8, 400/6.3,construction
5E-4G, 180 grams, length 23mm

Well there's a difference in 4 months!
*** The new lenses are featured individually too. 24/3.5 shift, 40/2,
65-200/4, 100/2, 250/2, 350/2.8, 500/8, 1.4X-A, 35/70 F4 AF Zoom. NO 180/2.
*** The blurb says that 2X-A is: "intended especially for the 250/2 and
350/2.8 lenses"
All BLACK FINISH lenses, except for a full page pic of a WHITE 250/2 on an
OM-4.
---

"The Measure of the Professional" THE NEW OM GENERATION leaflet C03E - 883D
***earlier than the above two, gives the new lens list (all black finish, NO
180/2):
Guess what!
1.4X-A: Applicable lenses: 250/2, 300/4.5, 350/2.8, 400/6.3,construction
5E-4G, 180 grams, length 23mm
---

So the 2SP brochure has out of date info, ie old OM-1/OM-2 type info in a way.
On the OM-4 type stuff, the 180/2.8 has DISAPPEARED from the 1.4X-A list, and
the 180/2 isn't yet invented apparently!
