That's just like myself. I rarely post, as there are so many people on
the
list who know so much more about OM and photography, but I have been enjoying
the list for almost two years, and came to like both the on topic discussions
and the occasional OT threads, people sharing ups and downs of their everyday
life. Now it seems that all this can be destroyed by one immature and
obnoxious individual. Usually I'm against banning people from anywhere, but
posting insults under faked (very poorly) identity did it for me.
The solution is even simpler than turning the list off - we have to
restrict
posting to subscribed emails only. I know it's a bit of inconvenience having
to post from the same account that was used to subscribe, but this is, IMHO,
a relatively small price to pay for increased security, less spam, and
ability to control disruptive behaviour of certain individuals. Let's just
agree to restrict posting to list members, stay all together (well, minus one
of course) and forget the whole thing as soon as possible.
