My OM4 has the 1-4 screen. I found it a bit of a switch at first.
Occasionally I missed the focus on a shot, now I find the split image on the
OM1 a little distracting.
On the other hand, the 1-4 is nice since the entire shot sort of "pops" into
focus quickly.
Guess it is what you get used to.
Never tried a Beattie. If someone wants to send me one.......:)
