The infinity focus of the 100-200 would register like a sine wave as you
zoomed back.   Focus ring has to go a little beyond the infinity mark
because lens will not hold infinity.

| I don't think this is typical. My 100-200/5 doesn't do this. Is the
| focussing action smooth and even? If so I wouldn't worry too much.
