This relationship of a light to a subject is how much a point source it
represents. The farther away from the subject the umbrella (or softbox, for
that matter), the smaller it is in relationship to the subject, and
therefore, more a point source. Professional portrait photographers, of
which I am not one, use this to their advantage. By placing the light VERY
close to the subject, the light seems to wrap around it. (In some fashion
shooting, the Chimera's are literally just out of the frame.) As the light
moves away from the subject, it becomes harder.

Bill Pearce, who is amused by the OM mount IS3 business, as what he really
wants is the 35-180 for his OM's
