Regarding the manual focussing of AF lenses, some months ago I visited ex-list
member from Sweden Ulf Westerberg (his OM-4's died in the Malaysian rain forest,
and re re-equipped with Nikon equipment). I was buying his last Olympus camera,
a black OM-1n. He showed me his new AF 300/2.8 lens with converter, and
demonstrated the superfast focussing. It was replacing his Tamron 400/f4 plus
converters, that he subsequently sold. In a later email, he told me that he was
now principally using the 300/2.8 in manual mode, so that the 400/4 sale had
perhaps been unnecessary!

Yeah, you'd probably wind up manually focusing and zooming your N*k*n AF
80-200/2.8 just like the pros! <g> what fun!
