Ceramic and titanium knives are much sharper, as well as non-
magnetic. They mention box-openers in the news reports. I wonder if 
these were picked up from the plane galley.

It may be neither. Blades up to 3-4" are allowed in the US, tho Air 
Canada insisted on packing my Leatherman away.
