I share the opinion that any attack without specific targets and focused
application of firepower will not work. Our own recent and current
experience with muslim extremists in our extreme southern islands shows that
a ham fisted military attack is ineffective and the alienation if not anger
it arouses in so called "collateral damage" which in reality means innocent
victims is worse than any supposed achievement. Only repeated surgical
elimination of support (financial, military, etc.) will work coupled the
ideal but even more improbable solution of some measure of socio economic
reform in areas that now breed extremism.

God forbid if we should see any rash reaction that will just worsen the
situation.

My humble opinion.
