Ha! Good point. Since I don't have a dark room, I can't confirm this, but I think that if you expose Pan F 50 enough to allow for good shadow detail and develop for the highlights, it might be possible to "normalize" the contrast by using a less contrasty paper grade. The developer would have something to do with it, too, but again, I've had mine done in a lab and don't even know what developer they use. Guess I should find out, huh? I actually prefer rather contrasty prints, so I'm ok with what I'm getting. It's a beautiful film.
