Hi all,

I know it's monday morning, after a weekend full of news on this topic, but
I want to write what happened in Denmark on friday:

The two minutes of silence were carried through in the most inpressive
manner here. At my work, the university in Aalborg, all staff and students
met outside the buildings on the campus and all went quiet for two or three
minutes. That was so impressing - everyone had their thoughts at what has
happened in the US.

At that time my girlfriend was on her way from Copenhagen to Aalborg, when
her train stopped midway between two stations, with an announcement from the
locomotive driver, who shut off the engines totally for that period.

The news showed people at their work going silent. Even production at the
biggest factories was stopped.

All flags were at half staff. For those of you who know how much the Danes
like to wave their flag, this is something special.

Life was paused in favor of lifes taken. I believe everyone is aware of what
has happened in New York and Washington.
