If you can't imagine a reason for having one, you won't use it.

David was not the only list member with an 8/2.8, there were at least four
that I am sure of.

I have probably owned my 8/2.8 for 10 or 12 years. Every now and then a
project comes up where this lens' unique perspective on the world comes in
just right. The novelty might have worn off on you, but to the public it is
a new and unusual image.

Mine just produced the cover shot for an annual report for one of my
clients. It is a night shot of their facility. I probably utilize it for a
commercial shoot about every 18 months.

Having it in my equipment room, I look for reasons to use it.
