Auto works well for me at night with OM4 or OM2 (any). I have not had reciprocity failure with the films that I have used (but see about 2 years ago for the discussion on how the OTF system might "know" what the film could handle in terms of reciprocity law.

I also don't use a cable release any more because of the problems I had once with the OM4; the timer works extremely well.
