Better than multiple stitching.

Also, you can use Photoshop or other programs to un-fisheye the 
result and have corrected pix of that building that's too close for 
your 17mm rectilinear lens.

For this stuff, you really need all the pixels that film can provide.

The question really is, are you a wide-angle or a telephoto kind of 
person?
