I just ordered this lens from KEH today for around $180 with shipping. I
had posted about not using my Olympus OM 2n in many years. I had the
camera cleaned but my 200 f4 had fungus that can't be cleaned so I
decided on the zoom. Any opinions on this lens. Did I make a good
choice, was the price fair? I want the lens for general photography,
mostly taking pictures of my son, his friends and my wife. Back in the
early 80's when I was using my camera I got a lot of good pictures from
the 200 f4. I read somewhere that the Zuiko lenses were considered top
level when they came out but now they are not considered equal to the
top Nikon and Canon lenses. Is this true or false. I had been toying
with the idea of buying a new Canon so I could have auto focus but since
I already had my OM2n I decided to use it instead of buying a new
camera.
