Coincidentally yesterday I took some photos of a job i had recently
completed and when I got home and reloaded the camera I noticed that the
ASA setting was way off, 1600. Now I only have been using 200 or 400
speed film so it couldn't have been forgetting to reset the dial when
changing film. I believe that the change occurred during the last few
shots when I was changing the compensation dial because of lighting
conditions. The camera was up high on the tripod and I couldn't see the
ASA setting. I'll have to wait and see how many shots were ruined. I
guess this is a good reason to use spot metering rather than the
compensation dial.
