I think you can also use stereo imaging in conjunction with some computer
software to aid in creating computer 3-d images of building. I saw something
on Nova I think which seemed to use this technique. They took stereo images
of a building and using the software were able to get a very detailed model
of the building with very precise measurements. Looked like they were using
stereo photography anyways.
