Another question.. A third 50mm f/1,8 that I got (don`t remember
serial#) got a rubber lens shade that appears to be stuck on the lens,
and this makes it a little bit longer, which I don`t like. Are the
rubber lens shade an aftermarket thing, or did they come this way from
the factory?
The dedicated hood for 50/1.8 were made in both metal and rubber
versions. It is a 51mm slide-on (with a little screw on a metal
ring). It's very characteristic and IMHO the most stylish hood of
them all (metal one) It goes with the 35/2.8 and 35-70/3.5-4.5 also.
In what way is your hood stuck? Is it screwed into the filterring?
