[OM] OM-2 Battery Consumption

Dear Zs,

Anyone have any experience using an OM-2 for long exposures.  I just shot
2x24exp rolls (almost) doing some long exposure test shots with a newly
acquired OM-2 and the batteries have died (they had been in the camera for a
few weeks prior to this with very little use).  The shots varied in exposure
between a few seconds and 5 minutes.  Is this battery consumption excessive
or normal ?
