This web photo, even in the 'large' presentation, has only a small fraction
of the picture information  available from the 35mm frame of film.

Also, your screen is only showing you 72 dots per inch so almost by
definition less sharpness is possible on screen than on paper since
'resolution' on the printed page is about three times higher per inch. That
would translate into nearly 10 times more picture information per square
inch (or square cm, or...) than your screen can give you.

Not to mention that many other factors could be affecting the sharpness of
the original image, including camera movement and shooting at extremes of
aperture.

My  point is only that this is not a good way to compare the capabilty of
lenses.
