Is the lock button and small slide on the MD-1 itself? I assume you have the
NiCad pack for your drive and are talking about the button and slide on it.
If, the button is a trigger button just like the big one on the top of the
Md-1 itself. The release on the battery pack is particularly useful for
firing the camera when shooting verticals. The lock locks the button so that
you don't fire the camera inadvertently from the button.
