I agree with you. I bought an "as-is" Winder 1 from KEH for $23 USD. I
had planned to gut it, and use it for a grip, and keep the battery
holder as a spare. I cleaned the contacts, and it came back to life!
Needless to say, I didn't gut it, so it's heavier than I would like. <g>
They (KEH) don't have any OM winders/drives at the moment, but they
recently had an "as-is" Motor Drive 1 for $25, so it might be something
to watch for.
