As a SUV owner, I am not getting "mad", I just understand
that some peoples opinions and needs differ. I have a 2001
Suburban, yes it does waist gas, (3/4 ton/8.1L) and I don't
use it much for sport. But I do build/sell/deliver a lot of
computer equipment. You just can't get many 21" monitor in
a Geo Metro. I have a friend that tried. As a hobby I am into
astronomy. I have a 12 scope that fits nicely into the back of
my SUV. Some of the dark areas that I go to are not on paved roads.
I do have a OM2n that I use with the scope (on topic as much as
any of this thread). It is nice that I can haul full 4'x8'
sheets of plywood too. So "Sport" not much, "Utility" for me
Yes, and as a "Vehicle" I enjoy it a lot. I could probably
use a pickup with a canopy but that would not be very convenient
when the in-laws visit (My wife drives a 2000 Camaro Z28). So now
I am on the top of the list for gas guzzlers. It is nice of all
you to drive your gas saving vehicles so there will be enough
gas left for us gas pigs that need it. I have purposely made sure
my driving distance to my regular job has been short so not to
require large amounts of gas. I don't regularly drive long
distances. So truly for me the ?UV is practical. So. my point
is. Make all the fun you want. For some of us, a larger vehicle
is important. As long as you are making fun, no problem, otherwise,
from my opinion you are just narrow minded, and I am not going to
waist my time or energy being "mad" about this!

Ranting done!

There is an old saying, "Never criticize another man's wife, his car
or his dog." An update would probably include his computer. Of
course the corollary is probably that the person should not brag
about those things either. Some people are going to get mad on this
thread. They have before.
