It is the XA, not the 2,3 or 4, and it was thrown in free, and totally
unexpected. I've been playing with it, and reading about it on the web,
and I think it is the best of the 2 cameras. I can't find anything at
all wrong with it, flash works, even the self timer works. The sender
said it needed to be calibrated, but I'm not sure what could be off with
it. Maybe someone here knows. The light meter reads the same as my other
cameras, and the focus distance seems to be about right. Shutter sounds
fine at slow and fast speeds.
Concerning using the acetic acid on the om1, is there a common brand
name that I can recgonize this stuff by? Or will common household bleach
work to kill fungus? How far does a person need/dare go with this stuff
around cameras? (I'm just discarding the lens)
I'm not sure how to start with the self timer. I don't see a screw,
just 2 tiny holes on the front face of the lever.
I got the focusing screen out, and cleaned off some dirt from
everything, but there is still that brownish spot that is likely
desilvering.
