Which would be the best camera to go for? OM10, 20, 30 or 40?
I don't really understand what features make a good camera or what the

The two-digit OMs (10,20,30,40, - the '20 'is also known the "OM-G" the '30'
is the "OM-F" and the '40' is the "OM-PC") are the 'consumer' models,
*generally* not as rugged as the 'single' digit bodies (OM-1, OM-2, 3, 4Ti).
The single digits have more features and capabilities that make them 'system'
cameras.
I'd tell you to stay away from the OM-10 OM-30, and OM-40. Om-10s suffer from
sticky shutter magnets when not used for a long time, which generally only a
CLA will cure, and a CLA costs more than these cameras are worth.
(generally). OM-PCs have quirky electronics which are now, due to age, are
acting up more and more.
Again, I've quickly oversimplified and generalized some info here.
