There is no place to store the MD cap on a Motor Drive 1. I keep mine MD caps in a little clear box about the size of a film cartridge along with a spare shoe, autoconnector type 4, film extractor, loose TTL screw-on caps for the OM-3/4, and a CRIS adapter.

The only "problem" with the 18v grip is batteries. It takes 12! The 15v Nicad pack is a little more convenient.

Actually, you might be on the lookout for a 15v Pack, they come up at camera shows every so often.

Congrats on your purchase though.

Hi Jim,
I bought it, actually it has the m18v control grip(I think its a good
price ). Besides a slight mark on the rubber that presses against the strap
eyelet the whole thing looks like new from the box. It is working fine , and
I am really starting to like it a lot. But: where do you store the md cap ?
I thought it was nice to have the space at my winder 1. Is there some place
at the motor as well? Just now i taped it to the back of the camera, does
not look so nice...

Rainer

I own two of them! I prefer the big shutter release to the smaller one with
the
remote socket. when I need to run them remotely (rare) I just use the remote
cord for the battery pack. These can often be had at bargain prices. I paid
$120 for my last one WITH a LN m18v control grip!
