Although I thought that "OEM" stood for Original Equipment
Manufacturer, I understood it to mean equipment that had *not* been
made by the manufacturer of the original equipment :>). As I
understand it, OEM refers to equipment, machines etc... which are
made for a producer by a another specialist - it is stuff that is
bought in from another manufacturer, outsourced business. For
instance, TEAC make video innards, floppy disk drives etc... for
other manufacturers of those finished goods, but rarely make the
complete machines themselves; TEAC's stuff is OEM.
Therefore, I would not expect the lens hood marked "Olympus" to be
OEM, but that Olympus had made it themselves.
Sorry if I am being a little pedantic here... on the other hand,
please tell me if I am wrong :>).

The OEM lens hood for the 50/1.8, 50/1.4 and 35/2.8 is the same clamp-on hood.
It can be reversed around the barrel of the lens and clamped down
for storage inside a never-ready case. Although this hood fits a
50/1.2 and can easily be used (all have 49mm filter rings), it
cannot be reversed around the lens for storage because the 50/1.2
has a wider diameter barrel around the focus ring. The OEM lens
hood for the 50/1.2 is slightly wider so it will fit reversed around
the 50/1.2 for storage. You can use either hood on any of the three
50mm lenses.
