Wayne,

You can use your T-20 in a Shoe 1 on the OM-1 in "Normal Auto" or "Manual" modes as you would with your OM-10. Obviously there's no "flash ready" in the viewfinder nor can the "TTL Auto" be used either. Ensure the flash sync switch on the OM-1 is in the "X" position!

Look at the foot on your T-20. Along with the three metal pins, there should be a plastic one forward of them. Push on it. You will notice that it retracts the two forward metal pins for "flash ready" and "flash quench." The main center pin for "flash trigger" is not affected. The purpose of this plastic pin is to keep them from shorting out in a hot shoe with only a center contact.

If you look at the hot shoes on your OM-10 and OM-PC, you will see a small depression, or hole, forward of the contacts. This keeps the plastic pin from being depressed and allows all the pins on a "T" series flash to connect with the hot shoe contacts. If you look at your Shoe 1, you'll notice this "hole" is missing. The Shoe 1 will retract the two extra pins and keep them from shorting to the shoe.
