Mark,

Since I'm determined to stay married until my wife finds a "real good reason"
to get rid of me, I decided to forgo spending big bucks on a Zuiko 18mm f/3.5,
and I picked up a Tamron SP 17mm f/3.5 on evilb*y last week for $200 +
shipping since I just knew that my wife would "love" to get me one for
Christmas.

I haven't tried it out yet (it just arrived yesterday), but it certainly looks
really nice.

I've also gone the third party "economy" route a couple of years back, and
bought a Vivitar Series I 19-35mm f/3.5 zoom for $150 through B&H. It's been a
solid performer at f/5.6 & f/8. No complaints whatsoever.

Something from 21 - 14mm is what I'm looking for at
less than $300 prefererably 200 and less. I am not
looknig for ultra sharp, but sold performance at at
least f5.6 and greater. Here are the lenses I am
looking at...

Tamron SP 17

Vivitar 19mm
