No doubt Olympus will be in catch up mode in the pro digital SLR market
with this, somewhat. On the other hand, the E-10 and E-20 seem to have a
very strong and growing following and acceptance as a perfectly viable
professional digital camera (in reading some E-XX forums I was amazed
how many full time professionals are using them). I have a feeling that
they could "get it right" but am in a wait and see kind of mode.
(Meanwhile, I'll enjoy my E-10 within it's limitations to supplement my
film shooting.)

I'm not so concerned about more pixels. At this point what needs to
happen in developing imagers to make better pictures is better speed
(higher ISO) with lower noise. The 4-6 megapixel range is probably
sufficient for compact field cameras. Much higher and storage device
read/write access speeds need to speed up--a lot.

We'll see. It will be interesting to see what is finally offered.
