You know, I never particularly liked canon, but Here I am talking up the S110 again. It's 1/3 smaller in volume and a bit lighter than the Optio. I chose it thinking I would have to sacrifice print size and quality to get a size I knew I would carry everywhere; after all it's only 2.1meg. What I found was that even when cropped to about 70%, I got beautiful 8x10 prints on the epson 1270. I bought it on the "Better a camera with me than no..." principle and was very pleasantly surprised. Is it perfect, no (see the review at dpreview.com), but I have a lot of great pictures I wouldn't otherwise have had because I wouldn't have had a camera with me. It's also quite a bit cheaper than the 3-4meg small cameras (and less than what I paid, but I wouldn't have all those pix if I'd waited.).

If you have or buy the S110 or S300, the black leather cases with belt loops Canon sells in Canada are much smaller and nicer than the gray suede ones they sell in the US. I got mine at Henry's (henrys.com). The S300 case might even fit the Kyocera or Optio?

Interesting. My initial playing with it is more positive than this review.
For example, I shot my daughter's room, with the light off, just to see how
it would handle it. Perfectly exposed and focused.

The color balance is nice too.

For my purposes, I still think it's perfect. Better a picture taken than
not. Better a camera with me than not....
