Generally I do prefer the 36 exposure film. More shots/$$. There are times
when I wish I had used a shorter roll. But if I really need to change films,
I do just that. Roll back the remaining film and have it processed. Use a
new roll for the new purpose. Even with 24's I sometimes have to do the
same. I don't see it as a big issue.
